ThomasNet is an online database of industrial materials and their suppliers. Get specifications, CAD drawings, contact and service information on products ranging from chemicals, electronics to valves.
Depending on what you are searching for, you can use one of the four tabs along the top of the screen.
Use this tab to search for a product or service. In this case, you want the general name for the product, not the brand name. Use the States/Provinces” pull down menu to select a specific service area. You can also use the category list on this page. It is a great way to browse if you are unsure how to phrase your search.
If you are looking for a specific company use this tab. It only searches within the listed company names for the terms you select.
The “Brand Name” tab narrows your search to manufacturers and distributors of a specific brand.
“Industrial Web” searches all the information listed on supplier web sites and catalogs. It is best used for specific material or part searches.
The results list for your searches will usually include the name of the company their location, a brief description, and their web address. To view the full record click on the “Company Profile” link.
Or if your results are still too broad use the options to the left of the screen to further refine your search. You can limit by the company type, geographically, or search within your results for a keyword.
